How to Get Ready for a TPT Sale!

Hi friends!

The big back-to-school sale on Teachers Pay Teachers is right around the corner! Yay! This is a great opportunity to get a sale price on amazing resources for your school library classroom. Here’s my advice to help you get ready.

Create Your Wish List before the TPT Sale Starts

During the TPT sale, traffic will be high on the website, typically slowing it down. I like to do my leisurely browsing ahead of time, and add all of the items I **might** want to my TPT Wish List.

Here are several items I’ve already added:

The Tower of Books Challenge was recommended at the Scholastic Reading Summit I attended in San Antonio. I’m not sure yet whether I’ll be able to use it in the library rather than the classroom, but I think I can adapt it.

This Library Substitute Binder from Staying Cool in the Library is packed with emergency sub plans. I really need to do a better job of planning ahead of time for a substitute!  I usually just crawl into work sick instead of going to the trouble of making sub plans. Anybody else feel that way?

Engineering Library Makerspace Center

Jessica Lodge created this resource and says it was her students’ favorite from last year! This product will make it quick and easy to set up an engineering makerspace in my library.

Give Feedback for your TPT Purchases

Have you already purchased items on TPT? Make sure you go back to those purchases and give feedback to earn TPT credits that you can spend shopping the sale!

Here’s how it works. You get one TPT Credit for every $ you spend AND provide feedback on, on TPT. You only get the credits after you provide feedback– both a fair rating and a fair comment — on the items that you purchase. Every 100 Credits is worth $5 that you can apply towards future TPT purchases, but you don’t have to wait until you have 100 to redeem them. 50 credits is worth $2.50, for example.

I like to catch up on my feedback before the TPT sale starts, to give me more spending power!

Don’t Forget To Enter the Promo Code

I know no one else will be a cotton-headed ninny muggins like me, but DON’T FORGET TO ENTER THE CODE AT CHECK-OUT! Yes, I’ve actually shopped the sale, and completely checked out, but forgot to enter the promo code at check-out. Make sure you enter the promo code “BestYear” at checkout to get the full discount on your purchases!!

I hope this sale helps you to have YOUR best year ever in your school library! And while you’re shopping, I’d love it if you’d check out my latest creation, Emoji Book Talks. I can hardly wait to start using them with our students!library learners signature
