Index and Inspiration

Hi friends!

I truly love collaboration! We are all so much better when we work together. Today’s post is a reflection of how my colleagues help me…every day!

First of all, fabulous first-year librarian Caitlin King from Kentucky shared with me the index she created of The Centered School Library. She thought this blog could use some navigation help, and I completely agree. Now, on the right side of the screen, you should see a link to an “Index to Library Centers.” I hope this helps as you’re learning about library centers or searching for a work station that fits into your plans.

Second, my colleague here in San Antonio, former GT teacher at our elementary school, blogs at Engage Their Minds. Today she shared this short video from Google that I think could be inspiring to our students. I think it’s a good idea to remind them that even though they’re young, they can still change the world.

Happy Monday! I hope that your week is filled with opportunities to collaborate with teachers and other librarians. I know that I’m a better librarian because of my interactions with each of you!

      1. I can relate, Amy! I LOVE cute clip art and fonts!
The letters in “index” are Pop School by Lettering Delights. Each letter is a jpg image; it’s not a font you can type with.
