Library Supply Organizer

Do your library supplies tend to run amok like mine do? I had a desk drawer organizer, but everything kept spilling over into the other compartments.
I found this really cute organizer on Pinterest, and I knew it was just what I needed!

A HUGE thank you to Rebecca Rojas, a fourth grade teacher from Southern California, who created and shared this project on her Create-Teach-Share blog!

So, I went to Lowe’s and bought my organizer. I chose the one with 18 large drawers, no tiny ones. It cost $19.96. You also can order these organizers from Amazon.

This one is just like mine. You can choose from different configurations of large and small drawers. I chose the one with all BIG drawers, for lots of stuff!

The front of each drawer is two inches tall by four inches wide. I created a table for all of my labels, in the right size and a fun font. The label table is a free download from my TPT store!

I printed this table on colored cardstock, cut out each rectancle and glued strips of scrapbook paper across the top. My library’s theme is space this year, so I found a tablet of super colorful scrapbook paper with a space theme (half off at Hobby Lobby), and I’m using it for lots of different projects.

I printed out my table on colored card stock, and cut out each two by four inch rectangle. Then I cut strips of scrapbook paper one by four inches, and glued a strip onto each card stock rectangle.

Next, I pulled each drawer out and taped the cardstock rectangle (embellished with scrapbook paper) onto the drawer. I put all the drawers back in, and voila!

Now I’ve got a colorful space to store my library supplies. Because they are in separate drawers, they don’t spill over into each other. And it’s all so colorful that it makes me smile every time I look at it!

I hope you can find time to make your own library supplies organizer!
