Are your ready for a Thanksgiving break? I know we are! Here are some great ideas to reflect on during your time off.
My colleague Sara Romine blogs at Lessons From a Laughing Librarian. And she wrote a great blog post about incorporating makerspaces into a science lesson about energy. She used cans, bottles, and toilet paper rolls to explore five different types of energy.
If you’re wondering how to incorporate makerspaces into your elementary school, library, check it out.
Do you have a blog for your school library? As I prepared for my next blogging club meeting, I found a great blog post from Edublogs about widgets for student and class blogs. They show you how to add the widgets, and explain why you’d want each type. If you’re working on your school blog (especially if you’re including student voices), the entire Teacher Challenge series would be a great way to make your library blog awesome!
If I was going to be in school next week, I’d read one of these two favorite Thanksgiving picture books, and we’d use one of these freebies from Rachel Lynette to think about what we’re thankful for!
