Share Your School Library

School librarians, your library tells a story that your colleagues would love to read. A cozy reading nook, a bustling checkout desk, a bulletin board in bloom, or a table filled with library learners. These spaces hold curiosity, comfort, and quiet magic for students every day. By sharing a photo of your library on this page, you invite others to see the heart of your work and celebrate the learning that happens there. Your photo does not have to be perfect, just real. One snapshot can spark ideas, inspire fellow librarians, and remind us all that libraries are living, breathing places of belonging. 📚✨

Here’s the link to share your library photo. It’s a Google form that you’ll fill out so that I can add your photo and information to this page. Thank you in advance for taking time to share! Any photos that include Library Learners resources will be entered in a monthly drawing for a $20 gift card to TPT or Barnes & Noble.

Thank you to Eva Pokorny for sharing this photo of the new José Simón Azcona Hoyo Elementary School library in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The library was created by Chispa Project, a grassroots literacy initiative in Honduras that creates libraries in public schools. Honduras is a book desert; most schools (public and private) do not have a library or any books to read for pleasure. To increase opportunities for joyful reading, Chispa Project has installed over 105 libraries to date, impacting over 27,000 students across Honduras.

The library above opened in August 2025, so library time is still very new! Here you can see third graders reading their library books of choice for the day, and you also see their excitement overflowing as they share their stories with their peers. The library magic is just starting at this school, but we know books change the story.

Thank you to Michelle Barnett of Providence Elementary School in Huntsville, Alabama, for sharing her photo of two of her third grade students participating in Ozobot Boot Camp. Students are learning the basics of color coding using an Ozobot.

Thank you to Amanda Maslonka, librarian at A.B. Freeman Elementary in Houston, Texas, for sharing this photo of part of her library space that is colorful and organized for easy access and organized FOR kids! You can find more from Amanda on TikTok @littlemiss.library !

Thank you to Tasha White of Alfred Lima Elementary School Library in Providence, Rhode Island, for sharing this photo of a section of her elementary school Dewey section. She says: We have a lot of signage and buckets of books to support independent learning. Don’t miss this video about this colorful Providence School library with students describing the space and why it matters to them.

Thank you to Laurie Lawver of Orchard Hills School in Irvine, California for sharing her school library! She says: New lower profile curved shelving with acrylic genre signs…this space makes me so happy and my students can easily find books they want! She says that the signs were made on her campus when she bought acrylic sheets and one of her CTE teachers cut the letters and size signs she wanted. Demco also sells similar genre signs. The bookshelves were purchased from a local business, but Demco also sells curved shelving.
